Jaden McDaniels or GTFO
They will trade up into the top 10
They will trade down
They will stand pat with the 11th pick
They will trade the pick for player(s)
Honest question: you think SA FO has been good past few years and you’re ok with what they are doing and have done?
Jaden McDaniels or GTFO
You can't convince me a deal couldn't be made for DDR and/or LMA. I think SA likes what they have...and that's just sad.
Totally agree not able to move LMA or DEROZZ for any young or draft picks is going to set us back a few years. If we don’t move anyone it’s going to be another cluster for Walker, Murray, White, Keldon all fighting for minutes
Won't make it to 41, tbh.
Don’t jump my brother I feel your pain
Boston taking forever maybe LMA? Wishful thinking
Who needs trades when you have buyouts?
Buying out Gay and LMA and DDR could save the Spurs a combined 4-5 million off the cap based on my mathematicals with the Carroll and Pau buyouts.
That should give them enough to pay Forbes 10 million a year without going into the tax.
BREAKING NEWS CELTICS DRAFT LIGHT SKINNED/PASTY DUDE
Damn. Bey traded twice already? First to the Clippers and then to the Pistons. The Pistons also trading for Isaiah Stewart. Looks like the after-market is pretty busy.
Let me check the handbook.
I just threw up in my mouth a little. No, seriously, you for saying that because it could really be true.
With those players being picked at the 20s, this NBA Draft is really weak.
Legit the dumbest possible thing we could do...which means it's definitely in play...because since the kawhibacle we have been arguably the worst front office in the entire nba...
I'm disappointed, Sniffs. I thought you wrote the handbook.
I don't think they've been as bad as people made it seem. It does feel like they're so scared of making the wrong move that they avoid making any big moves. I'd like them to pick a direction, but I'm also okay with them not committing hard either way. But they should start look at trades to clean up their roster. No that doesn't mean LMA and DMDR have to go out so the Spurs can avoid letting them walk. But they should be acquiring vets or additional firsts for their young players and aren't doing that. I also wish they were move aggressive with their big expirings like Gasol and Jackson. , even Bonner. It's like they went from throwing away picks for any ty vet to keeping them locked away even when there are clear upgrades out there.
Quickley went 25, so whoever was high on him was sort of right. Then the C's draft Payton Pritchard at 26. Wait... who?
Moving DD with 27.7 mil salary isn't as easy as moving Kennard at 5.2 mil. How is it so hard to understand that?
Everyone in the league knows that DD is a net negative player. He wouldn't move the needle for any of the 29 other teams and it's no secret.
You know that "Force Trade" option is for 2k only, right?
Trade up
Drafting has been very good; free agency and trading lackluster
Finally the draft gets a bit wild. Looks like someone quite decent could be there at 41. I like Woodard, Ramsey, Joe, Stanley, Oturu, Reed.
There's nothing dumb about it. Long-term the Spurs are only going to keep at most two of those guys. Trading the one they don't intend to keep for an upgrade seems like an obvious play, especially if that upgrade is young enough to still be around in a couple of years.
If we can get one of Otoru, Carey, Perry, or Nwora I'd be pretty happy.
Spurs clearly draft winners this year, tbh... I might even buy NBA League Pass in 2024 once Vasell got over himself.
