& it's going to be on sunday night football. Battle of who gets to be 8-8 and win this ghastly division
you said why didn't they take the flag instead of calling the timeout, I thought you were referring to the 4th & 2 play, where if they were punting they definitely should have just taken the delay of game and punted on 4th & 7 from near midfield.

No, I meant "throwing the flag" as in challenge the rulling on the field that Mahomes stepped out of bounds. You probably lose the challenge, but if you are going to call a TO anyways, why not do it to see what happens?.
perhaps. But I do think Dallas will beat WFT on Thursday, beat Cincinnati, split the Eagles and probably beat the depleted hungover 49ers. That leaves at Baltimore which is likely (but not surely) a loss, and the last NYG game.
Raiders last drive was run-run-pass-punt.
In a game where Carr had been next to flawless, they took the wind out of their own sails
Ah, now that makes perfect sense.
But you never know when the loss of challenge hurts as well, remember the Saints Cowboys game a couple years ago where the Cowboys' Cole Beasley's knee was down on a critical 3rd down conversion but it wasn't called and Sean Payton was only 1/2 on challenges earlier in the game so he couldn't challenge a third time.
Chiefs might be better off just letting the Raiders score right now. I don't trust that D stopping Carr, tbh.
Tbh, if it gets to 4th down and they're in FG range, do the Raiders still have time to kick a FG and then kick deep and play defense?
1. The refs suck tonight
2. L Bell still has all star talent
Kick the FG if it gets to 4th down? They still have time to kick the FG, recover onside kick, then plenty of time to get back in FG range
You don't take your chances on an onside recovery when you are inside the opponents 10 yard line, tbh.
Too much time for Mahomes to get in FG range
Or... throw a pick
agreed
have a feeling Mahomes will come up short here
