Will be interesting to see Andy’s spin on this in a few years. In typical Andy fashion I’m sure he won’t be able to admit he was wrong.

Tua has been fine...but has done nothing to make me think he is some world beater. Too early to make a dumb ass call like this tbh. At the moment I think both burrow and herbert both end up better than him.

Herbert at least wasn't a college one year wonder but he was wildly erratic i.e. jekyll and hyde at Oregon.

Burrow is the definition of one year wonder. Was a nobody before he transferred and had a magical season driving the bus for a historically great dream college team.

Tu'a was a successful multi-year starter for the best college sports program and best-coached system which isn't even known for QBs in the first place, but he kicked that Alabama offense up another gear as opposed to say, the Sims and Coker days of QB bus-driving and relying on the running game (i.e. Henry, Drake, etc) and the almighty Bama defense to win games. He drove Jalen Hurts off the campus and out of the conference. He was a stud and one of the greatest college football stars ever until he was hit with the injury bug, leading to Bama missing the playoffs for the first time in a generation.

Tua is the prototypical great college QB who doesn’t have the physical tools for long term success in the NFL. He’s undersized and has the same long, loopy release that other lefties like Leinart/Tebow had that made it impossible for them to win in the pros.

And that doesn’t even address the injury concerns. Someone who has had a major injury at his age is concerning.

I will say I don’t think the Tebow comparison of fair. Although I am assuming you aren’t comparing the skill level, just the mechanics. But even then Tua is miles about Tebow lol

    Noooo.
Way the f faster then Leinart and Tebow.
But ya injury took away some of his speed.

Loopy throw yes but still quick release.

Maybe. But that doesn't change the fact that last year's LSU TEAM was never losing to Alabama's TEAM. Also, I doubt the Bengals have buyer's remorse right now, especially once Tua gets hurt again and again.
Burrow likely out for the season now with major knee injury. Crow is served.

When I read the tle I thought the thread was going to be about Herbert. 2+ TDs on 7 straight games.

Burrow's injury is serious. Tu'as doesn't look like it.

Who threw a ing pick in the end zone when they had a golden opportunity to win the game at the end. Tua would have converted the TD.

Brian Flores needs to get the axe. I never understand why they do that just to make a statement only to announce "...but hey, he's still the starter going forward"... Make up your ing mind and stick to it, tbh.

Yea sure. He throws that td.

Because he played so well when he was out there

4 starts and not a single game over 300 passing yards
    multiple games under 100 yards
    Better than Herbert or Burrow

Didn't Herbert break all kinds of rookie records for QB?
