The end of an era...hopefully he takes Forbes with him...
If I remember correctly, in his very first summer league after the draft he showed a surprising amount of promise with defensive rotations and hitting long jumpers. In retrospect that was probably the best basketball he ever played.
Metu just never looked like an NBA player to me. I'm no scout at all, just my hunch and the eye test.
Forbes looked the same way in his first year. Then he improved, got promoted to the starting lineup and.... ....the Spurs better not give him another contract.
dont let the door hit you on the way out
no chimezie wey...
Has the size and quickness for the NBA. Just doesn't seem to know where to be on the court! Also not enough bulk.
Spurs have decided that Eubanks has a lot more upside potential.
without counting the undrafted dudes, the Spurs just whiffed on Shake Milton. Everyone else from 51-60 barely had an impact on the league.

Sacramento has also added 23 year old big man Chimezie Metu on a training camp deal. Potential to make the roster. Former San Antonio Spur.

Hope he does well out there but they have so many bigs.
I guess Chinook is too young to remember Cherokee Parks.
Tbh Ewwbanks has plenty of moves and plenty of motor, and much higher bball IQ

Hey he tried to contest it- I'd take that effort from LA any night
When did A.D. join the commentary team for the Pelicans?
I always find it weird when teams hire players with no organizational connection to work local broadcasts. Then again, the Wizards hired Drew Gooden solely based on being a former Wizard and he sucks.
Nevermind, he spent his penultimate year in the NBA with the New Orleans Hornets. Somehow I had totally forgotten about that.....
i will never understand why people laugh about a player for contesting a dunk. at least they show some effort.
Antonio Daniels was underrated Spur of the bench!
AD has been color man for the Pels for a while now. He does a show on Sirius with another guy and I enjoy listening to his commentary but the funny habit he has, is he always repeats the same sentence every time he is making a point. Just a tic but it's funny when you start noticing it.
Was that a true contest or was there a moment of fear?
Lol that was funny Metu doing trying that stunt. How’s Metu doing?
