Wow...great news for us and the best news we've had since le #5! I hope he works out for Bud's sake but I still don't think he's a long term NBA player.
yeah! Addition by subtraction!

Oh come on, that happened in the bubble.
thank god he is gone ...
All the best. Doing the right thing by the spurs. Pop will miss you.
The door is this way.
T R I B U T E TO THE SPURS LEGEND !!!
Global pandemic << Spurs resigning Bryn Forbes. I couldn't agree more!!
It just needs to be a montage of him beating his fist after all of his defensive lapses. Or just a highlight reel of every team in the league knowing to go right at him regardless of who he's trying to guard. Maybe every switch that teams made to get a player on Forbes for an easy basket.
Jeez I'm glad he's gone.
a winning move for bryn forbes. Used the Spurs as stepping stone and now has landed in a legitimate contender team
Geez everyone gets a tribute video these days.
Forbes has one and only nba skill but that is one in high demand... Ok offensive player but horrible defensive player, at the point to lower at abysmal levels any defense by himself. As someone else has already written, he can be useful, also in the 4th quarter, in a team with other from very good to exceptionals defenders while on contrary he is gonna be a suicide squad by himself in a team with other non defending guys. That is simply because he has no defensive instincts, skills or energy to compensate his clear deficiency in terms of body measures. In Milwaukee, with the other 4 being good to very good (Holiday, Middleton, Giannis and probably Brook) he really has a chance to become positive and important... A la Red . In our team (with DDR, LMA, LYLES being only from weak to just decent defenders) he was clearly and simply unplayable. That was why I never understood the logical reason to prefer him to Bertans for 3 years in a row... They had the same skill but Bertans was 6.10 and with leaping ability... So at least he was playable on a team defense and in any case in any offense thanks to his chance to shoot from everywhere on the court (while Forbes Rande is absolutely more limited)...
Someone post the Wolverine gif with Popovich and Forbes on it lmao
Pop is being nice but the Spurs never had intention to keep Bryn even at a very low price. They could have kept him if they wanted to ( by waiving Lyles ) but were dead set on letting him go.
Must have learned that from Jeff Errors. That "I try hard" exhibit seems to work, these clowns got a paycheck.
Technically true, but practically false.
Had they waived Lyles to retain Forbes, they'd have been down to one rotational four (a gimpy, older one), with no means to replace him.
So Forbes not being re-signed was partially financially driven and also because of the excess on the perimeter.
Flopovich got Brent Forms feeling like he's a championship piece
lol He'll get big minutes early to give him a shot, or if injuries happen but this MF'er will be in a suit behind the bench for the most part if not traded at the deadline. One of the worst players in the league PERIOD.
He worked hard to earn his minutes. But he's not a starter and it wasn't his fault. And hopefully he can help the Bucks open the lane.
No he didn't. Dejounte, Derrick, and Lonnie got hurt to start the season two years ago and he was the only option at guard outside of signing somebody else.
