^ in fairness to Bryn Bryn and Pop, they may have been able to coattail to a ring off Kawhi had the Zaza not occurred.
Pop / Bonner era
Pop / Michael Finley era

Pop / Bryn era is actually an adjustment with Demar reluctant to shoot the 3, exacerbated by Murray/White getting hurt and had to be slowly re-inserted in the line-up. Just the same, Bryn/Beli/Mills / Pop era was the worst I've seen Spurs play. It was an abomination of what Spurs fan held sacred, DEFENSE, from DRob/Timmy days of boring, gritty low scoring games which Spurs have been known as something they can always hang a hat on.
I saw a few games where marco, mills, bryn worked n it was when they were all hitting...but that was the problem last year is these guys couldn't find the consistency to do what we signed them to do. I think one game was when we BLEW OUT the Nuggets. When u got 3 shooters doin their jobs that's damn hard to defend they just couldn't put it together for enough games so their lack of defense was even more glaring when it matched their lack of offense
Juancho Hernangomez era begins?
I have a feeling he’ll be back….
Resign him again in free agency, then trade him again for a 2nd at the deadline. Rinse & repeat
"You have to play defense to play for Pop."
Remember that myth?
Exactly. Slowly Spurs are getting back to a defensive team. I don’t mind them shooting 3’s with the rest of the NBA, but there should be a balance vs defense. I think our long athletic players are trying but finding not enough gas by the 4th quarter
