Agreed - no way they should jump the line when the rollout in the US has been absolutely ed. I just don't know how they get through the season without doing so. It was always vaccine or bust as soon as they agreed to not doing a bubble.

These next 4-6 weeks are gonna be absolutely terrible tbh.
These mother ers can still make billions of dollars in a bubble. With all the all of us have had to sacrifice in the pandemic George Hill can go off with his I'm a grown man talk while he's being paid millions and all he has to do is (1) play basketball (2) be a decent ing citizen.

I actually do think they should jump the line. Here's why, we have shown that we can't vaccinate any large group easily because of trump being trump. So, if we had perfect knowledge we'd favor atainable organized groups and specialists over large disorganized groups. The nba we can imagine can get everyone vaccinated quickly if given a supply. It's an atainable good.

The nba makes us happy but doesn't improve the health emergencies. Nurses and doctors improve the health picture, but because we can't quickly hit every medical worker as quickly, doesn't have quick benefits. The next group is the 65 and sick. This group is the most disorganized. We could as a society favor celebrities over health professions.

Basically if we do ramp up testing, then whether we start mass vaccination now, or two weeks later won't matter much. The bulk of vax I'd coming in late March regardless of who gets it now.

It's a trolley problem. Is the nba better than X number of illness prevented 2-4 weeks sooner?

Good. Anytyhing that accelerates Pop leaving as a head coach. If he wants to stay as the President, then whatever.

Bull the IOC won't move it to 2022. Japan has spent so much on these games already, what a load of horse if they don't get to host a games.

Some guy on reddit was complaining that they were restricting fans at UT baseball games (season ticket holders only, I believe), then started railing on people when they pointed out that we are in Stage 5 and hospitals are full, so maybe going to public sporting events isn't such a good idea.

His argument: "I've already had COVID so it shouldn't matter to me"

    You just can't fix stupid.

Or infect others...which is kind of the problem. Even if it doesn't hit him hard, he could still be a spreader.

Just because he has antibodies doesn't mean everyone around him does because most of us have been safe enough not to catch it in the first place.

After this Durant situation, they need to revise the procedures/protocols.

If a player is part of contact tracing the day of a game, he is out period.

Seriously. How do you keep him out to start of the game...then "clear" him to come in during the 2nd quarter...and then pull him back out for safety protocols?

    Somebody done goof'd.
