Does it seem likely they will reverse course and push for a public option after spending political capital and cash on expanding Obamacare and COBRA?My own analysis here is if the government pays to enroll people in ACA plans it will significantly inhibit discussion of a public option plan - future conversations would instead revolve around how to improve people's existing coverage.
If Biden wanted a public option, I believe he would be proposing that now, rather than a massive expansion of ACA coverage.
