Missing the playoffs last season is what forced them to finally play the youngsters this season(Murray, Johnson, Walker all averaging 30 mpg as starters). Missing the playoffs again might finally force them to move on from the failed Aldridge/Derozan era.Having a few 20 point games in you "when motivated" isn't going to be enough to get you over the hump of a good team.
I mean how many times can you possibly play the blazers in a season
The good news is that my biggest fear of this team is that we somehow got to the second round and played a tough 6 game series against the lakers, clippers, or nuggets and then the front office decides to bring the vets back for 1 or 2 more years because "we were so close to the WCF"...
But as long as LMA is playing like this...and i expect him to play more like he played tonight than he played against portland...there is 0% chance of that happening
A lottery pick + all our veterans contract being up + lots of cap space is where we are headed and that is a pretty good place to be going

Some of it might be schemes but it’s more so who is getting the minutes.
guys like DeRozan, Aldridge, Gay, and Mills getting a ton of minutes isn’t going to help the defense. Not to mention our better defenders like to gamble a bit on defense or they are young and like to ball watch.
, you also have to factor in that some of our top minute getters don’t get up and down the court the fastest (Aldridge and Gay) also. Lmao.

This team is so ing awful. GS played a little more aggressive on defense than the Spurs have seen as of late & the Spurs went in to a s . Got scared. Even KJ. Worst game I've seen him play in a long time. It's games like this that bring me back to reality just when I start to think they might be in the mix. They aren't. By the end of the season, talented teams will get their acts together & the Spurs will be on the outside looking in again.
There's no excuse for being so damn soft and passive. Who is there to keep the vets accountable? Not Pop. He shrivels at the thought of confronting Aldridge and Derozan. We desperately need a player like Draymond Green to get in teammates faces.
dejounte has been the most consistent player all season so far.
Games like this it's really ing annoying when Mills keeps jacking up shots when he knows he's having a ty game.
Keldon has been a disaster tonight, really could have used a big game out of him in a game like tonight. Disappointed he didn’t step up
