Cousins is available
He has become like Aldridge, a defensive liability, too slow for this modern NBA.
I don't doubt they will get some burn with only 9 players. What I hope is they take the most of this opportunity, be aggressive, play defense. I know Tre is always active defensively, but Luka seems to slow down sometimes. He needs to go at it every time, and show Pop he belongs with the big team.
Pass the torch, Patty. Move on from the Spurs...
Sounds like what they said about Keldon.
I commented on that smile also by Tre. He's like a Cool-Hand-Luke, a smiling assassin
Be prepared for lots of Lyles, Patty and Aldridge. This game is going to suck.
First game back from 3 weeks off means Aldridge won’t see more than 20 minutes, maybe less.
At this point i'm hoping we play Luka and Tre some heavy ass meaningful minutes to give them some experience/confidence. A loss is expected when your roster losses their most impactful players. Might as well see what you have in those two.
The best outcome would be us winning with Luka and Tre getting lots of burn and showing out. I would hate to see them get moved from the G league bubble where they were both tearing it up just to get garbage minutes to meet the 8 player requirement...
People forget that Aldridge is or at least recently was a pretty good player who's capable of carrying a big scoring load. While you can say they're better without him, they've certainly won a lot of games with him and Murray starting together. It's not the hardest thing in the world to believe they could still be a tanking team.
I agree, they absolutely can still be a tanking team.
ST melt down on Luka is coming soon to a basketball game not near you.
Yeah, I worry about that too
Finally, basketball tonight. And the Spurs moved to 5th in the West while idle. GSG!
Anyone know when DDR is back?
Do we know when the covid protocol on Keldon will be lifted? I'd like to see he and Luka in the SL for a game or two before ddr is back just to see how that works.
I would imagine Derozan will be back before the COVID dudes.

Spurs practiced this morning, a rarity the day after a road game.
It feels like months...when is everyone back??
I’ll ask again, when is everyone coming back?

San Antonio Spurs injury report:
So this supposed "wrist soreness" doesn't come out until 2 days after the game (and despite his speaking to the media after it)? My antenna is raised on this one.
It's probably unlikely, but I wonder if it's a fake injury that conveniently lasts until the break, buying them time to figure out a resolution and saving him (from his perspective) the ignominity of coming off the bench.
LaMarsha questionable again after 1 game coming off the bench and a 2-day layoff.
Interesting that DeMar is questionable as well. I don't want to see the team go into a tailspin, but damn man....spend some time with your family and don't worry about basketball. If he comes back, hopefully he sees it as an escape and not something he is being obligated to do.
Yeah, I'm thinking we don't see LMA play again before the break unless he has to. Hopefully they work something out to move him at least for a small asset.
