So Melvin Capital is lying their asses off saying they got out of their short position when they were shorting 130% of the Gamestop shares?

I thought maybe something really started and they got a whole bunch of people to put a relatively small amount in.

This is a problem with options when you have a wave like this, and that's why a lot of stock trading platforms today were changing their requirements on those stocks, it exposes them to potential junk.
I guess they know what they need to do.
They never put restrictions on predators shorting a company to death
And at this point it's stupid anyway. Unless you were on that first wave of GameStop, there's no amount of risk that makes it worth it at this point. What are you going to put in $10,000 for the chance of maybe doubling it? Like that's going to drastically change your life?

aaaand all those pre-market gains have been wiped out. It was down 25% ~10 minutes ago but now it’s back up to where it closed yesterday. Seems like the Reddit re s are running out of gas.
Robinhood is now blocking customers from buying GME and AMC. That’s should lead to both stocks inevitably cratering while we also see a slew of lawsuits too.

I always knew that RobinHood was bull . Similar to Coinbase for bitcoin. You dont really own your stock (or bitcoin) they own it.
The only bright side of this is that many millions of millenials have seen firsthand how corrupt and imaginary is the US Finance system and stock market.

The government has allowed the mafia that is the Finance and Stock system do whatever they want.

Right. So it was small government that allowed private corporations to seize so much power. That’s the complete opposite of Conserva s like Don Jr. saying big government SOCIALISM! is the problem.
So far the efforts to shut the redditors down aren’t going very well
