I'll bite... Jaylon G. comes back, lots of chatter about him hopping back in, crazy. Also chatter about Bryce still talking to UT after his commit.
There has been a lot of chatter Gilbeau wants back in now.
That's basically the best they could do if they want 12 teams. I personally would have only added Houston and either BYU or Cincinnati to get to 10 teams.

But I'm trying to figure out how much I should really care. I mean, in this new conference maybe Tech will actually have a shot at the playoffs vs holding out hope they get the SEC to let them sit at the lunch table with all the cool kids.
If we join the PAC we become like Arizona or ASU. If we join the SEC we become like South Carolina or Missy St.
I just dunno any more.
Granted football is THAT sport but Tech is only what 2 years removed from a championship game in basketball. Baseball team I believe isn't that bad... Big 12 aint that bad, Texas just needs to move so they stop playing down to compe ion.
Each week for the past 12 years, you never know which team is going to come out. Thats coaching but also just naturally knowing our d game should win this game, we need a game for this team, etc. I'm sure I can't be the only one that saw this issue. You don't go from beating Notre Dame to losing to Kansas. You don't go beating Georgia but lose to TCU.
Tech could come out of this being the Texas team to beat year in and out.
even after ut and ou leave, big 12 is by far the best conference outside of pac, b10, acc and sec
i think its a chance for tech, tcu and okst to get more serious national recognition if they can dominate the conference and win some bowl games, instead of always being viewed as little brother to UT and OU
The Big 12 will still be a compe ive and I think somewhat interesting conference but the SEC move was about power and money.
