Tell tech to go for that then
A true power play would have been to just go independent like Notre Dame
Tell tech to go for that then
Hur dur dohkay
2025? More like after this next season. Where these recruits seeing that TX would join SEC in 2025? LOL
SEC already negatively recruiting
well , if we are going to the SEC after this season, we should be in an even greater position to secure Arch Manning.
This is really sad. Why can’t they be smart and team up with OU and UT ? We are all dancing with the devil. Better be able to cover your ass somehow
LOL WHAT?
Goddamnit aggy. Just stop.
Woke up this morning expecting to find dozens of 5 stars switching commitments. So far not one. Pool party?
Does the SEC make bull commercials with football players in the lab coats studying and giving out awards for GPAs?
If so they don’t need to. I don’t need to see players with actual homework or walking on campus to a class. All that needs to be advertised is UT, ATM, OU and LSU playing each other every year.
They hate us so passionately.
It’s actually quite beautiful.
Nick Saban telling the Texas HS coaches the NIL has already reaped benefits for their QB in "SEVEN figures" Their NEW QB...
wtf was Saban trying to say to the coaches in Texas?
We ain’t SEC yet.
Most say its a done deal. Still no gain but lost one CB.
PAC 10 was a done deal too. It looks done, but this cracker isn’t counting his chickens. Once the ink is dry, then we can suck each other’s s.
Different strokes for different folks. Sure is a lot of smoke for no fire.
Coyote and pit bull got my chickens so noneto count.
I agree. these are very realistic expectations. I think they should just forget it and stay in the big 12.
I mean if speculation and discussion of joining the SEC won't get a half dozen 5star recruits overnight, what else will?
pac 10 deal was killed by espn stepping in & giving texas the lhn..........espn will not be saving the big12 this round..........texas/ou r in all thats left is formalities.........
Yeah, it's VERY obvious at this point that it's essentially a done deal. UT, OU & SEC wouldn't be this quiet if it weren't. They would be trying to shut down the "speculation" but they're not even really bothering too because it's going to happen.
So what I've gathered so far:
- ESPN/big 12 contract thru 2025 so that's how much longer the conference will be together
- OU and UT will owe about ~$70-80 million each in exit fees unless enough teams also decide to leave in this time frame
That about right?
Well this next season should be interesting with every conference foe looking to knock the fn stuffing out of us.
Yes, OU too because they always do but we will retaliate in kind.
