Why not? The Spurs have young core in every position. Vucevic and Aminu would've been a tremendous help. I would've given expiring Aldridge/Gay and picks for those two.
Nobody is giving the Spurs for buy out candidates. They'll be lucky to get a second round pick for either Gay or Aldridge.

With the way Orlando is valuing picks, Aldridge and a second for OPJ has to still be alive, right?

Denver is acquiring center Cleveland center JaVale McGee for Isaiah Hartenstein and two future protected second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

The Spurs clearly view their first rounders like gold, considering how good they are at drafting i don't blame them. Considering our team is meh and can fall out of the playoff picture at any moment, those could be lotto picks. Vuc is a good player but he is on the wrong side of 30 and his D is suspect. Sound familiar? Time to move away from those kinds of guys imo
They are gold. Because Spurs have a decent chance of not making the playoffs, the lottery is loaded with talent over the next two drafts, the Spurs are elite at talent development, and first round picks are on affordable contracts.

Can a player be traded immediately after being traded? If so then spurs need to get on that asap

Side effect of Fournier trade is it might do away with Boston’s TPE

there goes the derozan to Boston sign and trade dreams. All the more reason to move him now.

Although, this would improve Spurs in short term and they'd need some sense of OP on a reasonable resign.

Might just be better to try for him in FA or nothing.

I know we probably won't trade DeRozan but, the list of teams that could be interested are down to what? NY and Atl?

Yes, after a few minutes reflection, I agree. If Spurs move DDR, they should also want to maximize development of Walker et al. Porter would eat minutes. Doesn't make sense to move for him.

Bulls are sending Wendell Carter Jr. and two first-round picks to the Magic, per sources.
    IMO, that's an overpay...

That Magic can't package OPJ but a trade like OPJ for LMA and a second is legal.

This is correct so far as rumors are concerned. Personally, I still wonder about Warriors too.

He would fit well there next season (and might help them squeak in this season) if he'll resign. We'd have to take back Wiggins so it would cost GS alot...probably more than the Minnesota pick.

I think that's an underwhelming use of Boston's TE, unless they're sending Thompson to Orlando.
