Have actually had power for 18 hours straight now, feels weird once you get used to the constant blackouts. Now I can actually turn my thermostat to something sane instead of running 80 to heat enough to last through the next blackout.
Glad to hear that!

The snow is actually really beautiful when you dont have to worry about your power and water, tbf.
Yeah the mrs and I finally got out and walked around in it a bit this morning and got some pictures. It's easier to do when the house actually warms you up.
Don't any of you Texas wussy psuedo macho men have generators?
I'm going full prepper after this past year.
'pseudo macho men', is that where we're at intellectually these days ? etc..
but yes i do
no kidding. If we’d had electricity to warm up with, we would have spent a lot of time outside enjoying it.
I'm at work today, but it appears that the power came on at home last night (am able to connect to my Ring). Will have to check on the water situation and then I can bring my family home.
Good luck. So many apartment and condo buildings are just ed right now.
Finally got water within the last 30 minutes and I’ve had constant electricity for 15 hrs so all is good atm
FYI brahs
Where do you live? Generally. That’s exactly the same thing that I’ve experienced.
We have Coserv for elec. and Aqua for water.
NE side near Windcrest
power was off here on the far west side (Helotes area) since Monday night. glad to see the rest of y'all going thru what i had to go thru are doing mostly okay now
Yeah I'm aware. Place was a mess when I left. I'm hoping for the best though.
I can’t imagine the insurance claims coming from this. Wonder if it will rival the bad hurricanes.
I don’t even know wheee that is. Do you know Flippy Tartar?
the occasional snow is one of the best outcomes of my move east
Used to ing hate Coserv because they don't give you the power to choose, but their fixed rate plans are far better than the variable rate plans offered by some companies associated with the Oncor/Texas New Mexico networks these days like Reliant and Griddy that charged $9K per megawatt hour as opposed to the usual $50 between the 14th and 17th... so some people are going to get hit with four-figure electric bills for the month of Feb. Lol. Sad but true.
I hope governor cripple finally gets the axe too and gets prosecuted. Really? Going to blame this on wind and solar power to fit an agenda? And just allow ERCOT to butt Texas citizens left and right? I hope he goes to the state pen and bends over from his wheelchair to try and pick up the soap, tbh.
