I know a lot of folks here are down on LA, as am I, so I thought I would share this article I read which claims the Mavs could be interested. But who do they have that they would be willing to trade and who we might actually be interested in? Anyone?
Here's the case anyone wants to see it. It is a little longwinded, tbh.

Edit: I guess I should have just asked this in the trade thread. Noob move. lol

Dwight Powell. Yes, Achilles injury. But, our medical staff has had to deal with Rudy, so they could deal with Powell. Plus, Powell is a grinder! He's smart, dissects film, can play both PF/C, finishes, gets offensive rebounds, has 3pt range and gives great effort on defense. When you look at Powell's highlights, JJ Barrea is feeding him about 90% of his lobs on the P/R. If Powell developed that chemistry with Derrick White/Tre Jones on our second unit, that would give the bench a big punch.

Yea, I'm trying to look at his stats now. I know as far as the eye test goes every time I have seen him with the mavs his outside shot has been money. I like what you say about the fit with the second unit as well.

Yuck. Dallas sucks. I’d rather have a late first and get a huge TE from Boston than take Dallas’ trash out, and help them in any way

His price tag of 11m+ per year with 2 years after this is why the Mavs would trade him also. Plus it has just been a year since the injury. You give him this offseason for continued recovery, Powell would be a great asset off your bench. He and Luka would be able to play together on the same unit as well.

Edit* hawks get the best pick from Spurs or Mavs.

A first isn’t on the table for all the dummies who keep suggesting that. It’s a second plus expiring/tpe, a first and a Kevin Love type contract or a “Spurs culture” 90 cents on the dollar buyout.

Dallas only shooting threes or lay-ups. No way in they take LA.
