    long hangover after an all-nighter

the highly-criticized decision to leave electricity prices at $9,000 per megawatt hour for 32 hours after the outages stopped — 300 times higher than pre-storm prices — led to what an independent market monitor described as a $16 billion pricing error, and $3 billion to $5 billion in unwarranted and potentially recoverable overcharges.

My great grandmother survived the Spanish flu and lived to 107. All before we even had CO2 detectors.

ERCOT Hires Interim CEO And President As Major Grid Reforms Stall In Legislature

some of the biggest threats to the gridís stability are outside of ERCOTís control.

ERCOT doesnít have the power to mandate major changes.

Thatís the job of the Public Utility Commission (PUC),

which oversees ERCOT and regulates the grid, as well as the Railroad Commission, which regulates the natural gas sector.

The Texas legislature oversees all of the organizations, and its efforts to mandate weatherization
    have stalled.

    Texas lege shuffling its feet

The people of Texas expect us in the Legislature to act to harden our energy infrastructure, and HB 14 will not accomplish that. We should have acted in 2011. In 10 years, let’s not say the same thing about Winter Storm Uri when another freeze hits.

We can expect that AGW will again cause the polar vortex to collapse and spill, again, hyper cold air down to Texas.

wealth-sucking Capitalists, +$28B after deregulation, who own the electricity grid don't ing care. They made $Bs off URI disaster.

They decide/bribe what happens in TX legislature
