DMC's take that there was nothing Sen Cruz could do besides shrug his shoulders and fly to Yucatan is inane.
I know people with 4WDs who've been giving people rides to warming shelters; another is helping people with plumbing emergencies. People are checking on elderly folks living alone and neighbors without power. Charity, churches and mutual aid organizations are helping people all over the state. Merely telling people about those resources would something. Donating money to those orgs and urging other people to would be something.
If a US Senator is unwilling to use his power and influence to help his own cons uents when they need help the most, he could at least pretend to care and do small things to help out wherever he lives.The need has seldom been greater.
