Probably COVID related so he doesn't collapse by overworking his lungs.

Absolutely. Kid's gloves for a game, or two, just to be sure. My wife works the front lines and the stories she conveys to me that she's witnessed are frightening.

These are not the same old Knicks.

They are 2nd in the league in defensive rating behind only the Lakers. They play slow, old school ball - last in the league in pace.

Spurs are going to have to shoot a decent % from 3 to win this one.

I'm 100% sure Derrick has it since that dude can't stay off the injury report to save his life tbh.

Points off Knick turnovers will be big. Make someone else besides JR beat you. Robinson is still out because of his broken hand, so any lobs will be to Noel and Toppin. Have to guard the 3pt line when Ellington is in the game. Rose being out is a big lose. Payton will be handling the ball more, and Randle will rebound and initiate offense as well.

Cranking the pace all night needs to be a priority. Rebound and run! The more easy buckets the Spurs get the more pressure is put on the Knicks offensive execution.

The Spurs began the year with an awful habit of giving up and-1s by needlessly contacting folks they had no chance to stop. The ideal thing to do would be to rotate and get verticality established. But if they aren't going to do that, then they should just let it go and get into position for a rebound.

The game is there for the taking.
Got to build a lead before b2b fatigue kicks in.
