Could be the last game we see Luka play meaningful minutes for some time.
I’m sure he will get some opportunities through the gauntlet of games post all-star break but going to savour this one, regardless of performance or outcome.

    Here’s to a Spurs W...by 15...DJ with a trip dub.

Kawhi was easily on a different level than the young guys. The closest I've seen to him is maybe this year's Dejounte and he's on year 5. This is also coming from somebody who loves the young core and probably overrates them tbh
I see Murray more as year 4 tbh, since he lost a season to the ACL tear.

Good info thanks and touché, but it kind of makes my point. Coming out of his low college 3P%, set up designed shots, mostly corner balls, with HOFers and GOATs providing spacing and leadership and Chip rebuilding his release his numbers are as you provided.

I'm not taking anything away, Kawhi was definitely a different monster, and probably develops into today's version under any cir stances.

But Kawhi does get about as optimal as possible situation to start his pro career and the line blurs where credit is due arguably.

I don't know about the comparison to Keldon, I really do believe Kawhi is a totally different monster. But there are things Keldon is doing that just pop to the eye and it's definitely something special that is reminiscent of Kawhi's rise in a sense.
there was a game really early in kawhi's career where the big 3 were all out, and kawhi had to carry the load against the bulls (back when they were really good) and he led us to a win. thats when you knew he was special, even if he wasnt given a huge role on those spurs because they were stacked

love keldon's energy and hustle, but on offense he still feels like a bull in a china shop. there's little delicacy to his game. kawhi even when he wasnt asked to carry the offense showed good touch, footwork in the post, movement, etc

And I'd agree that current Keldon would not be able to carry the team on his own as convincingly as Kawhi did. Good call. That spark is there though. I feel like we are in that moment now where Keldon got figured out and we're waiting to see if he has some 2nd gear or a new bag of offensive tricks he can develop to keep defenders guessing. So we will find out just how much spark is there. But the hustle and motor alone, he is a keeper and it's just a matter of how much bonus there is from him.

It's so crazy to seem to already have hit gold on White and Murray and then Keldon came out poppin and that was the moment I got hooked on this roster. So I'll be a bit of a Keldon homer for that reason.

Jak coming along has been an additional treasure to watch. Just insane the development PATFO pulled off in the ashes of neph, Morris, and Bertans fiascos etc.

If you don’t wrap Keldon up when taking a foul on a drive, there’s good chance it’ll end in pain for you

Luka’s defense is really a revelation. Who would’ve expected?
