Not to be that guy but the guy has 5 points. The assists were fault of the Spurs defense, IMO. I like Hali but he's not yet destroying us. Of course this could be a jinx post and he starts making 3s

No problem at all D, and he does have little points, but he has also made a couple of great assists, and his overall gravity on offense really, really stands out (or maybe it's just me watching him specifically). His side-steps and step-backs force the defense to play him really close, he creates a lot of opportunities. I don't want to make this a Vassell Vs Hali debate because I have no interest in it right now, but you're selling him short by saying "5 pts" IMO

Much more worthy for debate than Clarke ever was. Clarke is going to fade and everybody will forget about him until he's a 10 year veteran who the Spurs will sign

derozan actively ignores jakob on the roll and its been a pattern for sometime

DJ's comments recently weren't a "shot" necessarily- but I think he's noticed the same thing. defense not only can sag off - they can outright double derozan off jakob knowing he wont make the right pass.

Well its only half of Jakob fault cause Derozan never shoots a 3...so now the guy guarding him is backing up cause he knows derozan won't shoot the ball, so of course he is never going to pass it to Jakob who has his man AND Derozan man standing around him...

One of many reasons why this team can't win consistently...we play to many lineups that are super easy for the other team to guard...so we have to shoot lights out every game or otherwise we end up down 8 to the trash ass kings

Why beat SacT? They need to win. They’ve been in the lottery for 13 years in a row. They should have a loaded team right now if they could draft or develop. Spurs have been there once since drafting Duncan in 1997. And that was a high lottery pick. We need SacT to pass us so we can draft our next star.

It's always been the same discussion: if you really believe in Hali's potential ceiling, there was no one on the Spurs roster good enough that you should've considered the PG position set, and not draft him because of that; if you weren't as high on him, it starts to make sense drafting for position if you don't see the biggest gap in talent between both possible players. We'll see where both end up.
