Biden's blend of tax changes and infrastructure spending, to be followed by a health care-focused component, is likely to meet the same fate. McConnell said the White House's new proposal and the GOP reaction to it "underscores the principle difference between the two parties."
"You're either alarmed about the level of national debt and the future impact of that on our children and our grandchildren or you aren't," he said. "My view of infrastructure is we ought to build that which we can afford, and not either whack the economy with major tax increases or run up the national debt even more."
Mitch suddenly worried about the deficit
last year: prompt, Congressional relief consisting of two money bazookas, one for business, one for people.
this year: we can't afford nice things anymore, somebody please think of our children and grandchildren.
The CARES Act passed generously for Labor exclusively because it necessarily also included $100Bs for the BigDonor class.
The BigDonor class got paid, always gets paid, because it "legally" bribes all of Congress, where the ROI on the bribes is the 100%s if not 1000s% over the years.
Only 6 percent for roads terrible
Fox news tried to flog this and got their asses handed to them by Pete.

Free air time to push the Democratic administrations agenda to Fox News voters, and Pete hit the "rural broadband" and "VA hospital" buttons hard.
These hacks are so unused to actually doing journalism any more, it was funny.

Ducks level obliviousness.
Infrastructure includes a bit more than that.
There is a reason it isn't called the "roads" bill. Go grab a dictionary, dude.
sounds like a motto!!
Caro's book on Robert Moses getting a lot of play after Buttigieg's "racist highways" remark
The Power Broker is the best book no one has read.
Showed this to my family & friends overseas. Should build a highway here.
you don't know what infrastructure is? Really?
because building more highway lanes for cars has worked so well. looking at you, 26 lane Katy Freeway.

Hopefully you pointed out to them that the diversity of the people in the video is a sign of the progress our society is making.
Did you ?
I guess you did because you are a nobody
No. I have made it through three volumes of his LBJ biography. Might take on the Moses book at some point. His is a very interesting story; much more influential for New York real estate and day to day life than someone like you could even imagine.
Plus, the book has very few pictures and the one it has are already colored in (within lines too).
Also this is clearly not Texas, they have electricity there...
ducks trying to dunk on someone for being literate is the most predictable flex
Ducks trying his best to sound smart.
Nah, lots have people have read "The Power Broker" and probably almost everyone who majored in archetecture or city planning.
