    Cardinals a couple seasons ago still played small ball. Analytics is the main reason. MLB never recovered from the HR era. Permanently installing the DH in NL should further retire this playstyle

    Trout was going to be a perennial 30+ with 50+ some years.

    When he took himself out for the year with a slide that ended that.

    All the power hitters stop stealing bases sooner rather than later.

    I think they get lazy or otherwise just realize their bread and butter is the long ball.

    Jose Canseco stopped stealing bases after 40/40.
