Vassell making Pop look like a clown
that's not as much of an issue as Johnson being a bad 3-point shooter and White not hitting enough 3s either. Keldon has to be replaced by either Vassell or Walker. They are not getting enough shots with the bench and would improve the starters spacing big time

Lonnie is too small to be a starting SF & I'm not sure if DeMar can play PF over the rest of the season.
Vassell should definitely be an option, but again DeMar is occupying minutes and a position that would go to him.
imagine sending your first lottery pick since Tim Duncan to the doghouse because you want to give more minutes to over the hill vets that won't be here next year.

Spurs playing up to the level of good teams, per par. Same way they play down to the level of bad ones.

It was really a poor decision not to trade ddr and Patty at the deadline.
I our team one of those teams than on a good day can beat anyone? Damn they are a unpredictable!
I understand this level of play is unsustainable over the course of an entire season but the team just looks so much more enjoyable to watch without one guy dominating the ball in the starting lineup(Dumbar) and the other taking all the shots off the bench(Fatty). Ball movement, spacing, defense all much improved without those two.
Who knows if our 3 point defense will hold up but at least having another 3 point shooter getting 20-25 minutes in Vassell helps.

Walker as a 1st option on offense is way better than DeRozan. Just off his 3-point shooting alone
I still fully expect to lose this game even up almost 20 but games like these are promising.

Walker should be the 1st option anytime he’s on the floor. Highest ceiling on the team by far. An atrocity that he’s a spot up shooter for Rudy and Fatty
Even the Suns announcers say how unpredictable the Spurs are without DeRozan.
Don't forget that this team was playing well when Walker started and started losing when he had to sit out and White was starting for him
Murray has so much more room to operate without Demar's lack of gravity cramping all the space inside the arc.
The threat of 3 point shooting is everything.
DeRozan with a 3 point shot, even with his defensive inefficiencies, would be so much better.
Another wrinkle teams have to worry about when defending us.
