    In a statement, Huawei said it was “surprised” by the Volkskrant report and that it would not respond to its core allegations because they came from anonymous sources.

    Find it hard to believe they've been sitting in this for 11 years, and that no one else found these vulnerabilities despite all the scrutiny chinese IT in general and huawei in particular have been under the past few years..

    apparently people worried the news would put Huawei out of business.

    Didn't put cisco out of business and their us approved backdoorS have been verified and catalogued for decades .. though it's true that us consumers are more wary of the possibility of china tracking them than the US actually tracking them...

    Lol yeah

    Snowden uncovered lots of American equipment loaded w backdoors. The system to spy on all of Japan was one of the more blatants.
