If the Spurs don’t use capspace to get building block type pieces, I hope they go the other extreme and collect assets. Middling signings, like Duncan Robinson, at big money would be disappointing
    I disagree.......Duncan Robinson is a sniper!

Saw something on Mavs possibly looking at a salary dump of Maxi or Powell to get Lowry + keep THJ.

Spurs should be all over that. Both solid players on short deals that address positions of need.

Maxi + A future 1st into cap space is a no brainer imo.

Zach Collins would be a nice reclamation project. Of course we‘d have to see how he’s looking after 2 surgeries on his ankle, so not sure when he would be ready

    I believe that's 3 ankle surgeries, in less than a year... I'd pass .

The Wizards won’t extend a qualifying offer on F Isaac Bonga, making him an unrestricted free agent. Wizards need roster spots after taking on three players in the Westbrook trade.

UFA SF Kelly Oubre Jr. has interest in the #Spurs, with his camp believing he would be a good fit in San Antonio and would flourish under Pop and the developmental staff, a league source said.

Oubre as one of many moves is fine. Oubre as our major move is not fine. So depends on perspective and amount he's going to take

And a shoulder injury to boot. I'd only want him if it was a dirt cheap two year deal. Like a 2 for 17 or something like that.

Agreed he will give the team some defense, he can shoot tough he's not steady. For a good salary and with another big addition he will be good.

Osborn add that his agent also represent Georges Gervin.

I‘d take Oubre if his salary is still around 14 million. I mean that’s what we payed Rudy last year

Oubre is actually terrible on both sides of the ball, a net negative each way. It was a mistake for GSW to sign him and any good team should stay away.

If Oubres team is saying they look towards the developmental potential of the spurs, it means Oubre has been convinced he has work to do which is a good sign to me. The guy is definitely inconsistent but his flashes are above average.

I think a team like the spurs would slow things down for him and help him out quite a bit. If he wanted to salvage his career, a system team would be his best bet to get back on track.

I would look forward to seeing him develop if he came at the right price. The worse he could do is help the spurs lottery pick for next year so..
why not gamble that you can turn him into a player? He has all the tools.

I rather pay Fournier $20 mil/year than pay Oubre $15+ if I'm being honest.

As Collins seems to fade as being an option (report saying Hawks are going to throw 120mil at him), Bobby Portis is starting to grow on me. Veteran leadership, toughness and championship experience. We could do worse.

Viktor is retired and 35. Maybe as a coach, but, not as a player.

I don't see a really good player in euroleague but you have Micic PG ( rights OKC), Jordan Mickey former Celtics, Wade Baldwin IV who did pretty well last year. And you have Mirotic who is 30 yrs old.
