The NBA has lost its grip on what compe ive play should look like. The physicality of the game, and sometimes the scuffles that come with it, all make it more exciting to watch. I used to love the rivalries where guys hated each other, or particular teams, and let them know it. The old Detroit Bad Boys versus Bird and the Celtics is a prime example. I didn't like either team, but I enjoyed watching the rivalry. That kind of stuff is dead. The intensity just isn't there anymore. It's all a show now, and after a performance the actors all hug and take a bow.

Was psyched to see Patty hold his ground 100% and for Gay to not hesitate to step in.

Small loophole when it comes to suspension vs. fines
$12,985- one game suspension for JaKarr Sampson
$25K- fine for Patty Mills
$20K- fine for Rudy Gay
The amount deducted as a result of a suspension is based on a formula and does not take into account how much a player earns

That would sure keep minimum salary players in line. $25k is a significant chunk of their salary.
Damn that's messed up that Jakarr's suspension is worth only half of what Patty and Rudy each have to pay. He was the worse offender by far...
To the contrary, Jakarr is getting docked one games pay in addition. Gay and 50 Patty are not.
Patty easily the equal if not more offender.
