IMHO, Lonnie wasn’t the problem, it was Gay throwing the pass. He just isn’t very good at sharing the ball and the play wasn’t there, Lonnie was too well guarded. Needed to get the ball in play first and run another set. A PG would have seen that, there was still plenty of time on the clock too. It was just, in all honesty, a bizarre play that punctuated an embarrassing second half performance.

I thought Poeltl was rock solid all night, as well as KJ. Lonnie was a reason the lead didn’t diminish sooner. His shot making kept us in it.
    Cheers man!

Fatty Mills cancerous offense/defense combined with Murray disappearing in the 2nd half killed us. Really needed another guard option. Derrick was sorely missed. Spurs may need to think about drafting another guard this summer(one that can shoot 3s)

Pop wouldn’t last a season with the Nets or the Knicks with that NYC media.
    overblown tbh.

they'd eat up his politics. and neither team has ever had a coach with his pedigree. he'd be a legend just for getting the knicks to the second round.

Has any team blown a 32 point lead this season? Fully expect the Spurs to be the first.

Only way this loss could have been worse is if the Lakers/Clippers delivered it instead of the Celts. Boston being an Eastern Conference team without much history against the Spurs makes them pretty neutral overall. Still embarrassing and the absolute low point of the season and Demar era in general

Was actually planning on going to a game in May but this loss has made me reconsider. I refuse to support this garbage organization until they clean house and dump Pop/Wright/Buford.

I didn’t watch the game and read the recap.

San Antonio shot 71.4% in the first half, leading by as many as 32 points in the second quarter. The Spurs held a 31-point lead in the third before the Celtics started a furious rally that required an extra five minutes to complete. “

    glad I didn’t watch

Legendary Spurs Head Coach Greggy Poop squanders a 32 point lead as his Spurs fall in a record setting loss.

Who is really not surprised by this coaching and team management?

It was simple, Boston made adjustments and Pop didn't do a damn thing thing to change or counter anything per par.. I can't believe people are still defending this old man.

Watching the game in the first half could not believe what was happening
In the second half-I knew it was coming.
    Most here knew.
This was a failure of leadership.

Mills showed why his 'veteran leadership' is a scam. "Oh, but he's teaching the young ones the championship way!". Please.

When things were quickly spiraling, that was when Mills needed to be the level headed vet to take control and use the clock to get a good shot. Instead he cold checks brick 3s at the start of the clock. Lonnie does it and I get it, he was actually making threes and is on his first deal. What the is Patty's excuse?

And at the end of the first half was pure Mills. Guaranteed bad shot or turnover to end quarters, and sure enough he dribbles the ball out of bounds and blames Lonnie.

And on the next defensive possession he gets easily handled and then pathetically flops, and the only reason there wasn't a Boston dunk on the pass after the help rotates to cover for Mills trash defense is that the pass was bad

The problem is that gregg with two g's is such a coach that i do not believe for one second he could have had the next playing as well as Thibs has this year.

Gregg with two g's is one of the worst coaches in the nba if not the flat out worst coach. I can't think of one team in the the nba who has a better record than they do now if Pop was the coach

For all those saying soft tank ,just what exactly are the spurs tanking for? They're virtually stuck in 10th despite no teams really giving a fck about the play in 8-10 seeds. This team is trying to win but cant get the fck out of treadmill mode. What a ing shame
