Spurs had enough capspace to sign him outright, but he chose to keep that last year of his deal and get paid in Houston instead. Not sure where this ridiculous idea came from.

CP3 blocked us from getting CP3. He forced the trade during the draft before the FA period even began.

Not sure Phoenix has enough talent to carry CP0 past the 1st Round this year.

Chris Paul didn't even enter free agency. Spurs never had the chance. A shame though. He would have gotten the spurs another le with lamarcus, never mind kawhi.

I'd love to see what the odds are that Chris Paul will get injured during the playoffs this year. I'll take that bet every time.

Amazing how we have idiotic Parker haters that still find new ways to hate him in retirement.

Mr. Regular Season will fade as soon as the playoffs start, and all of the Spurstalk members with p. envy, sad we didn't sign him, will go back to being quiet.

irrational Parker hate brings out my inner GY and I get on the Manure train when I really don't like doing that, it is just reflexive. Timmay is the only one who escapes ST unscathed. You would think that all three of the big three would be untouchable. I know Beantown worships Larry but I doubt they rag on McHale the way ST rags on MVParker. because obviously Manu is the Parish of this analogy, or I could have said that Lakers fans don't dump on Worthy and that Manu is the old @$$ Kareem in this analogy, lol OK I will stop but this was not a shots fired thing, more of a returned fire thing.

If they end up playing the Lakers then look for the Suns to be eliminated in round 1.

CP3 has been chasing rings in all the wrong places and with the worst of luck in the process. I don't know that he'll ever get his ring. This years Suns team is not winning a le.

He got traded, first to OKC and then to PHX. Going to the Rockets was not a terrible decision for a ring chase, especially as it let him get a bigger contract IIRC... We will see if he ring chase after this contract.

He’s never chased rings, only $$$. Why do you think he was on the NBAPA board? He got the CBA changed JUST so that he could cash out one more time.

All you need to know about Chris Paul and winning is that he ran off the court crying without congratulating the Spurs after they beat the Whornets in game 7 2008.

TP9 is the only reason we were IN IT in 2013. That ridiculous circus shot nearly laying on the floor won game 1 in Miami, and put them on their heels.

Asshole Uncle Dennis cost us Kawhi. He was always going to LA, and that was proven when he walked away from a championship, Bird rights, and roughly $39M to do so.
