See, I completely disagree. DeRozan is a high quality NBA player. He could really improve some teams. His problem is not if he has skills, it's that the teams in win-now mode don't have money to sign him and the teams that have cap space are terrible and are not looking to add veteran players, but rather draft assets. NYC is one of the few teams that would check the box for him on getting paid and he would make them better. I think they are the favorites to land him. I don't get why the hate. He's one of the best creators off the dribble in the NBA and he is a great mid range scorer that can get to the basket, get to the line, and get a good shot and the end of the shot clock. He's not a scrub. He's just the 2nd or 3rd best player on a championship team, not a first. You could plug a lot of players perceived as better into his spot on the Spurs, and we still wouldn't make the playoffs.
