It is a general feature of American society today that when males are placed in positions of authority without adequate accountability, an unacceptably large percentage of those males abuse that authority towards sexual predation.
It is not clear to me whether it has always been this way, and that these days women speak up more to bring things to light, or whether something has changed. Some of the ‘olds’ insist that things have changed, and that ins utions that used to teach honorable behavior have become utterly corrupted, where men feel utterly en led to consume women for sex like they are food and drink.
I have wondered whether the statistical decline in sexual violence since the rise of Internet pornography was real, or whether it actually meant that so many law enforcement officials had developed mind-warping porn addictions that they couldn’t recognize sexual violence anymore.
