Haiti is just an incredibly awful place that will take lots of $ and time to even begin to fix. Its like the US saying they want Bangladesh. These are huge problems nobody really wants a part of other than to end the suffering, and who will take that on? YOu want Syria to fix that?
It would make more sense to talk about why Haiti has been a cesspool for at least a couple of decades while their next door neighbors are thriving in comparison. Tell us the difference.
