They are just highlights. I'll start with the good. He's a sharpshooter with a quick and high release. He can also take his time to shoot if he's wide open.
He's also has good decision making at the top of the key. So he's a threat from 3 and can drive it in if they get too close. We don't have that combination with the Spurs.
That's a really really good combination. Shoots 3's like Danny Green and can take it like Lonnie Walker. Play him tight he'll drive it in, give him space he'll drop a 3 on you.
I don't know how he can defend, how good of a rebounder he is at the 2, maybe his offensive tools are good enough to play him. Does he have big hands?
Is he 6' 5" with shoes or not. If he can get to 6' 7" the skies the limit.
Right now he compliments Dejounte Murray real good.

    Long arms. Big hands.

Has the tools to be a really good defender. Hes a gamer and a compe or and is tougher than he looks.

I've watched alabama all year as I'm a huge fan and alum. I'm not just watching highlights and coming up with conclusions.

He was underutilized and just put 8n a box as a spot up shooter. Hes much more than that.

He has some poor man's james harden to his game. Hes crafty.

I saw very poor finishing ability in the breakdown I watched.

Not the easiest skill to improve at.

We’ve reached the part of the nightmare where we try and sell ourselves on the pick.

It's true, he needs to get stronger.

He was in the 26th percentile scoring in transition. Definitely has to improve that somehow. Iím rooting for him and Iíll see more Austin Spurs games live than I do SA games this year.

[QUOTE=Dingle Barry;10565016]I saw very poor finishing ability in the breakdown I watched.

Not the easiest skill to improve he struggled to finish 8n the open court but was much better at finishing in a half court setting at alabama. Much better at driving when he slows himself down and uses his body and dribbling skills for separation.

It can be corrected for sure. He's raw.

I'm not sold on him. He looks pretty raw and I'm just going to assume it's a terrible pick. I hope I'm wrong.

He starts his shot from waist level -- that might (or might not) be a problem.

Literally nothing about this guy is special. Lol one of his "highlights" is getting blocked.

Great take man! I think if he has big hands or grows 2 inches will be the difference maker for sure!!!!!

he has a very nice skillset for an 18-year old. Good length, good defender, high character guy who gives you 100% on both ends. Good shooter with range beyond the 3-point line. He can easily improve his weaknesses, which are finishing with his left and strength for the most part. The only thing is that he's not that quick and struggles to blow by his defenders. Harden is a good comparison, he'll have to develop a more crafty game where he gets to the rim with dribble moves, hesis and crafty finishes using his body. The kid has huge upside, but they should've traded down to get him.

well, it is not uncommon for men to keep growing until they are 25......he is only 18. So, who knows, in 2 years, he could end up being 6'8 without shoes.
