Not in this proven farce of a FO just made the worst possible pick for their draft position - thread le should be the basement bedroom of Primo truth be told. Such a farce it crashed the site. Even if he is better than expected they could have traded back and got two for one.

Primo was a good selection. He'll probably be at least 6'7" after he's done growing and has a nice wingspan and big hands - sounds familiar (Kawhi). And he already has really good form on his jump shot and more athletic ability than given credit for. The Spurs may not be able to afford/want Lonnie after his contract expires after this season and this could be his replacement. TJ will replace Patty and Luka will get some of Rudy minutes. Also remember, there's a good chance Dieng stays with the team to help out in the bigs department. Jakob, Luka, Dieng and Eubanks and sprinkle in Keldon and KBD at the PF slot and the bigs are covered for this upcoming season and sure they are going to sign a 4/5 in the upcoming free agency. Primo could possibly be one of the Spurs top 3 players by year 3 at only 21 years old. With his deamenor and build, it's possible.
Your joking right? Top ten player more likely on Spurs

There was another baby faced player drafted back in the day listed at 6'6" a spot later at #13... Maybe he has the unteachable killer instinct!

Perhaps JP was simply overlooked because of his age and the fact that he was used primarily as a catch and shoot player in college. From what I'm reading though he is much more than that. He might have even become a top draft draft pick next year if he had stayed in college and given a bigger role as a sop re.

sounds good but no one could've expected the spurs to use their lotto pick on someone who needs to actually physically grow more.

As Mike Gottfried said about Randy Moss in the 1998 draft, Primo has a high upside, I mean high. He has a downside as big as the Grand Canyon
