He's really gonna die on the bench, isn't he?
Whoa. The old man’s gonna be buried under the arena at this point.
He's really gonna die on the bench, isn't he?
I assume it’s gonna be $14M/per or so with a “Coaches Option” after every season
Yes, but also no.
They'll put his head in a jar, Futurama style, and he'll continue coaching like that till the Sun dies. It is known.
Foundation novels in real life
you know if you know hehehehe
what the ?
He should at least assign a LEAD ASSISTANT COACH......
where is Coach Budddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd?????? ???
Great news!
Love Pop and think he does a great job.
Wow...was expecting 3 years, but 5? He'll be damn near 80 by the end of this term Not complaining though.
Just like his mentor Larry Brown tbh. Coach until the wheels fall off.
Pop- “I’m not leaving… I’m not ing leaving.”
woah 5 years? Thought it would be 3, but I'm cool with it. The old man enjoys coaching these young guys and needs to set them up for another le run.
Must really love Wemby
Great news, tbh. No one I'd trust more to bring Wemby along at the proper speed. The last thing you want as an organization is a head coach who is feeling pressure to win ASAP that starts putting too much on Wemby's plate too soon.
Pops the reason we didn’t go big game hunting in free agency, we had to max his ass lol
I hope the haters die choking on their moms over this.
he def wants to win that first one with wemby
Should’ve known Pop would get $16M/per after that Monty Williams contract tbh. Blows Monty’s contract out of the water.
I am a Pop hater, but Wemby needs Pop so I think this is a good thing based on where the Spurs are.
Damn! You went in!!
Damn. The three-year, $14 million per year sounded pretty much settled the last I checked in. I wonder if they got him to commit to two more years by giving him $2 million extra per season. Or maybe there aren't as many opt outs.
Whatever the case may be, this is an awesome turn of events, IMO. The last thing we need as Spurs fans is for a coach to come and do what Jeff Van Gundy did in Houston -- run Yao into the ground chasing extra wins so he doesn't get fired.
