    OMG.

    No.

Right when I warmed up to liking this offseason.
I would have preferred to give minutes to the 18 year old sensation, raw as he may be….

This is proof that it can always get worse...My God.
It gets even more interesting trying to see how the sniffers spin this one.

The bonus Forbesian thing about Forbes is he never gets injured. It's like not physically possible for him to get hurt. So once he's the opening day starter, there's no opportunity for him to lose that spot

The one benefit that I saw to McBucketts is that at least he’s 6’7”. Pop bringing Bryn back bc Tre Jones and Josh Primo can’t tank the team hard enough apparently…. (Since they will surely be third string).

Oh yah him and Kerr too. Still I'll put both of them 10 levels above Sparty. At least they helped win a ring or two.

This also prolly means Tre Jones leaves the Spurs next season without ever getting any meaningful playing time.

Ughhhhh. Now I like Dougie McBucketts less. We have the SF version of Bryn, plus the original Bryn. Also no doubt in my mind, the team wanted Derozan back and we have to thank the Bulls for their generosity.
Mcdermott is not a SF Forbes. McDermott is a much more complete player and isn't a total wreck on D. At least McDermott has a little size to put him hands up and grab a rebound. Forbes just gets beat and snaps his hands together in disgust.

However playing them together should be avoided. Its not going to be like the turd lineup of Forbes and Mills bad, or the turd trilogy by adding Beli, but it should be avoided.

If Young is still in the team, you have more room to cover him. You have less bad defenders like DDR and Gay where playing Forbes just becomes a massive issue.

But even the Bucks had difficulty hiding him the longer the playoffs went.

Confused as . We're also over one player even after Aminu is cut, I think.
Yeah, unless Wieskamp is taking a two - way deal then the team would still be over by one player. Possibly Walker IV or someone else is on the move.....

This deal only works if Pops isn't coming back but that is the precise reason for his return.
    Absolutely nutty.

Bro, don't be a spoiled fan. It isn't that bad. It isn't the biggest contract in the league either so calm down! Besides, Forbes must've developed some much needed experience warming the bench during the playoffs - also did you see that one game where he hit some shots? Spurs are going to need that knockdown 3pt shooting next year, and after losing Mills, all that culture will be needed to set an example for all these young guards that will be watching him from the bench. Honestly, we might be one of the deeper teams in the league and could compete for the play-in this year. If that doesn't excite you then maybe you should follow the Nets or some other team! In PATFO we trust.

Brian Wright gets burned by Marcus Morris. Realizes that taking any sort of risk is dumb for his personal career because he has maximum job security as long as he keeps the team's character high. Goes 100% CREAM Team. Why even do a small gamble on a player's character when the front office as a whole has built up like three decades worth of goodwill. He literally won't get fired until like 2060 as long as he doesn't bring in anyone who "embarrasses the community and ethos that has been built" or whatever the .

DeRozan not being re-signed is the only thing keeping this from being one of the worst off-seasons in NBA history.

I would tend to agree but this signing feels even worse than maxing out DeRozan.
This is our comeuppance for bashing DeRozan all season.

A 'GTFO Forbes' thread is a good bet to be started after game 1.

To make things worse, this means someone is being cut or traded. They have more players than roster spots.
    I imagine Aminu.

    45% from 3pt last year
    47% overall FG

    whats not to like??

    haha
He’s too good. Needs to starts and play 30 minutes. We’ll have him take shots in the clutch to close out games too.
