If he is a fringe end of bench guy then fine.

If he gets minutes this place will melt down.
This is exactly why people are melting down. On its own it isn't a bad move - a 40% three point shooter on the cheap, perfect for the tank etc., however, the fear is he won't be a 10th man and he'll steal valuable minutes from Walker, Vassell and/or probably Jones too, depending on the rotation.

That said, with all of these moves they've made, it does seem very likely that they'll be doing a 3 for 1 trade, or something like that, and clear up the backcourt logjam a little.

Forbes was the worst defender in the league in San Antonio. Went to Milwaukee and still the worst defender in the league.

    https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com...layer-ratings/

Sort by defense and see Forbes is 250th out of 250. No hyperbole here. He's literally the worst defender in the league.
    Not quite.
For Forbes last season with the Spurs, Collin Sexton was the the worst defender in the league.
Forbes was only the second worst.

I hope so. Who do you think the trade will be for?

It's the post-Timmy and Brian Wrong era PATFO. . This is arguably the bottom 5 front offices in the league right now.

    Murray/Jones/Brent Forms/Weatherspoon
    White/Walker/Primo/Weiskamp
    Johnson/Vassell/Hutchinson/Aminu/Diop
    Young/McDermott/Samanic
    Poeltl/Collins/Landale/Eubanks

25-30 win team with a chance at being close to the play-in spot? You son of a , I'm in.

I love how this is now a thing and synonymous with eating the sandwich PATFO is serving up these days.

I don't think any of this rings true, it feels like trying to graft on some narrative or excuse for Wright.

Why would Wright worry about his job when the local media never criticizes the team. Even the Twitter blogboys like Tom Petrini have already been co-opted with a part-time media gig ... Completely afraid to criticize anything they do including the Forbes deal

Simple answer is the most obvious: Wright is terrible at his job, doesn't know what he's doing, and should be fired. No psychological backstory necessary, he's not a character in a story arc. He's just terrible.
Wright is doing what Pop wants... Make no mistake... Bryn was Pops favorite pet...

The only upside is Bryn Forbes can hit 3pt shots. Granted, he’s a piss poor defender against 1st team guards, but if relegated to coming off the bench, he could provide some much needed points. Honestly, I don’t think the NBA is going to allow any team to play any reasonable level of defense, so what good is a one on one defender in the current NBA? The current style of play is run to the 3pt line and jack the first open 3pt shot. The only good 2pt shots are rebounded put backs or if run off the 3pt line & the shot clock is running down. Face it, every second DDR & LMA spent on the floor shooting 2pt shots, we were losing the game and just didn’t know it until the clock showed 0:00 and we had lost another “close” game.

However, just to clarify… I don’t like this signing either. Just trying to find some nugget of good in a pile of 💩.
