6m olive branch wtf . An olive branch is the min, not 6m
I mean, there's a fine line between being nice guys and being suckers. And if nobody wanted him, why throw $6 mill at him? Wouldn't the minimum do? Who are we trying to outbid?
Just got to speak facts here. Bucks owners are reducing payroll. They have the Greek freak tied up so they don't need to impress him. They didn't pay Tucker who was extremely important for them because they want to reduce the tax.
Serious question: Spurs put everyone before their own self interests. What has that gotten them?
Lonnie Walker, man.
From warming Marco's seat for the first two years of his career, to standing on the corner and ball watching Mills and Gay, to now doing the same for Forbes and McDumbass
He's going to shine elsewhere. It's so ing obvious lmao.
There’s no way this deal is 2 years or more right
2022 top 5 pick confirmed...
RIP Sink or Swim Spurs
8/3/2021-8/3/2021
Here lies a fun hypothetical team that might have sucked, might have been surprisingly decent but either way had eliminated limited players to let the more talented youngsters get run. There would have been rough patches but it would have been an entertaining ride.
3 way , Siakam to Philly , Ben to Spurs, pkg of players picks to Toronto
Top 3 more like it
Nah.. Murray and Simmons are bad spacing together (it's Demar all over again). Simmons replaces Murray.
Forbes can space Simmons if used properly
But why would the Raptors do that?
we are still in denial and hoping for the best...
My god. I was willing to give the FO a mulligan because they can try this whole reshaping of the roster again next summer. But there was absolutely no reason to sign Forbes. He isn't signing to be a 13th man.
I loved that the Spurs let go of the high-usage vets and replaced them with low-usage vets, supposedly to let the young guns take over. This signing, like DPG said, is a landmine. The FO had managed to avoid those.
I mean, in a vacuum this signing is whatever, but the precedent it sets is absolutely horrible.
This is proof that it can always get worse...My God.
Ughhhhh. Now I like Dougie McBucketts less. We have the SF version of Bryn, plus the original Bryn. Also no doubt in my mind, the team wanted Derozan back and we have to thank the Bulls for their generosity.
This is almost as depressing as the day Tim retired.
If he has a player option, that's not an olive branch, that's sincere desire to get him to sign
How's that 2022 caproom looking now with Forbes?
Playing Coach of the G League team?
I only recall four players who had a 2nd stint on the Spurs - Vernon Maxwell, Avery Johnson, Sean Elliott and Stephen Jackson.
Now this piece of **** is added to that the list of actual NBA players.
We got 82 starts with this scrub rubbing his soles on defense to look forward to.
Perfect tank commander though. I guess the Spurs are aiming for the worst defense in the league next year?
Have we seen anything about the contract amount, tbh? Or even years?
Jock for the minimum on a two-year deal would have been surprising but it's possible.
Did Forbes take a minimum deal?
