"Long term" doesn't mean ignoring taking profit and re-buying. The brokerage houses have made billions by pushing holding and dollar cost averaging.

Thats was my plan for bitcoin. To use it for extra perks. If I need a new car, I can get a nicer car. Go on vacation? Go first class. Etc

I agree it's not good to dwell. We all could have bought Amazon or Apple years ago. But the fact you're still buying and seemingly not understanding what you're doing should be concerning to you.

If it keeps falling, I'll take a shot at some point unless it's clearly a failure. If it levels out from a technical standpoint, I might take a shot on a coin or two.

Based on what? It doesn't look like there's any support until maybe 11,000 or so. If you like 18k, I don't see why you wouldn't just make your buy here at 20k.
