El Salvador tried to park the bus and still gave up two goals in the first ten minutes. Brutal.

Americans mostly don't go for lite Brit pop, tbh.

Though there are a few lighthearted NFL team theme songs that have caught on.
    Pop song.

You have no idea how long this has been around.
    The English game is old.
Its the perfect song for you and the US team.
Bubbles are unreachable dreams. You will be dead before the US wins a WC.

Doubtful. US is a huge talent pool and has huge in-built advantages.
It's just a matter of whether they want to get their together or not.

John Brooks really considered a top three center back in the Bundesliga? He sucked balls in the first three WCQ games.

There is little to zero skills played while youngsters except if they grow up in Europe. The majority of kids are shooting baskets, dribbling, throwing a football, even just sticking a puck around. No “keepy uppies” or tap passing just for fun. It’s some adult who knows nothing throwing large piles of kids on one big field to play beehive ball.

Unless you are now egg and sperm, you will not see a WC team from the US in your lifetime. It’s way too tough even if talented. The toughest one is the first one and it ain’t coming in your time.

    Blowing Bubbles.

I understand the culture discrepancy and it's effect, and I'm not discounting it. But there is still a wealth of talent that can be tapped nonetheless.
The biggest problem is that the US soccer leadership is more worried about being woke than ins uting measures that will empower the federation in the long term.
Relegation (and probably a table system rather than playoffs) needs to be a thing. These players can't be playing glorified friendlies on end. These organizations are being coddled.
The academies need to be empowered to find talent and develop it as well.
Even if these things don't happen, the US can temporarily go above the mean when talent es occur.

A talent e will NOT win a world cup. Its way too mentally grueling. It also takes talent in the right places that play together. No way this will occur. Unless american football and basketball take a nosedive in popularity. Tottenham has a much greater chance of winning the EPL this year. Yes, its that bad. The MLS is awful as well. The domestic league is just flat out awful and that makes things even worse. The WC is a thing you know you can win. We have zero illusions on this and thats perfectly normal for our situation. And yes I root for the US, but they are so difficult to watch.

Holland has never won the World Cup. Same with Spain until recently.

Not only do you need a very well rounded team to survive the journey but then you need individual greatness AND some luck.

Even Portugal for example has gone backwards since making the Semifinals in 2006 with Figo, Ronaldo, Deco & Carvalho.

Mexico hasn't won a knockout stage match in many decades.

Need talent, cohesion and luck to even reach the later rounds.

Yeah I left out the luck.
The mental exhaustion is critical as well.
It is a super tough tournament in the knockout rounds.
Its not like a club team where you know if you gel or not.
You find that out, and have a lot of talent so you can sub in different combinations of players who fit each other.
You cant get away with playing the wrong formation against a good opponent or even the wrong combination of players.
Flexibility, cohesion, talent, a manager who can cobble together the right guys and not hurt feelings.
(Remember France and the total F up with Ribery and Benzema) and then they win the damn thing with the correct combination and superb talent. 4-3 win against Argentina early on.

They need to play the first half like the second half.
This type of play will get them beat against good teams.
Pepi is going to find himself on a Euro club if he keeps this stuff up.

We were in their third almost the entire second half and got tons of chances.
We moved the ball around with relative ease the second half which again leads to the question, wtf goes on in the 1st half.

1/2 way through qualifying, we could still get bumped. Its that shaky.
And if we do get through to the WC and get past group stage, call that a huge victory and get ready to be pummeled.

I am not sure why our fans are so bent on embarrassing performances in the WC.
FIFA has done its best to try to get US in for the TV money of seeing our games. (usually the rest of the world seems to take pleasure in seeing us get our asses kicked)
If we suck, I would rather just stay the out.
