Alot of Braves fans follow different teams in NFL and CFB, even direct rivals. Hence the slogan "Braves country", it's a national brand.
Keep an eye on the fans in today's game...much different than Falcons/Hawks games. I think I was rooting for the Patriots in that SB, watching with Boston friends.

like you've said before it's "The Team of The South" .... baseball fans from MS/AL/LA/upper FL go there. Because there's no other MLB teams in those markets.
houston's the only remaining team all playoffs I even cared for.
