    GG!

My call on Braves being done for the season after Acuna went down has not aged well, tbh.

Acquired an entire new Outfield. Alex will win Executive of the Year

There was a 5-game series (finished 1 postponed game) against the Mets in late July where if the Braves underperformed the team would have been sellers at the deadline. Instead won 3 outta 5 and the rest is right now not concluded history!

Second straight year the Braves season was tinkering late and some considered packing it in for "next year". Instead we return to the NLCS

Great ing post-season so far! Sox/Rays was a thriller, and Brewers/Braves was a stomach churner.

Hope my boys can close out the Giants, but I'm eternally of little faith.

    Where is Mid?

The Dodgers put a lot of blood and tears and they barely made a wild card.
Hey, buddy. Back after a long hiatus. Time just flew by this year it seemed and I realized it's been months since I logged on. Lol.

Great in series win! I really dislike the Rays and that cheap of an owner who refuses to pay players. The end result of Sternberg's penny-pinching is a crappy baseball product that has to resort to gimmicks like a clown car of never ending relievers. Then there's their "fans" that won't be bothered to cross a bridge to support their team in person. Props to your boys for saving us to have endure watching another game (or World Series run) at the Trop.

And yes, this was apparently the correct interpretation of the rule...which makes it even more baffling, tbh
I've always felt ground rule doubles that clear the outfield fence on a bounce should be triples. Just makes more sense.

That said, no sympathy for the Rays. That franchise sells itself as a "scrappy small market underdog" in the vein of the Spurs, but the reality is Sternberg is an tightass bas who won't spend a dime on the team. Then you have a fairweather fanbase that won't show up to support the team because they fear bridges and a bit of traffic. And who the would want to watch a World Series run play out at the Trop?

On a side note, Blue Jays gonna be scary when they get pitching. Vlad is generational.

In the NLCS I rather defeat LAD - defending champ, revenge and we will continue running into them in October

Giants is the bragging rights over franchise we don't have much history with

But I think LAD are more difficult path and they would win a 7game series against Gaints. Tomorrow I think Webb is too much for them.

Good tactical move in theory, but Knebel is unfamiliar with opening in this context, so I fear this could backfire.

Dodgers calculated gamble paying off. Homefield (final at bat) is such an advantage in such winner take all matchups

Mookie is an absolute beast. Dumb s Red Sox letting such a generational player walk is insane. Good game Giants. This is over.

This home plate ump can go f himself.

Screwed the Giants on 4 key pitches i have seen.
    Altered at bat big time.
Literally burned Bryant out of a none out guy on 1b walk.

    Ending a team’s season on a checkswing that’s terrible

Imagine winning 100+ games on both sides of the league and getting bounced on the first round because of a short series that really can go either way.

They need to change that to a full best of 7 if they're going to stick with the expanded wild card spots.
