i read this article over the weekend and my first impression was this was just another article with a misleading headline. it told us nothing most spurs followers didn't already know. and it certainly wasn't revelatory.

Still a good topic to discuss though to be fair.
I really don't like anyone we have coming up the pipeline. For me I like Kenny Atkinson. He did a great job in Brkln with the youth they had before he got ran out of town. He's also apart of the Spurs tree if I'm not mistaken.
I loved his offense... etc.

This is all part of CIA Pops plan, there will be reports that the spurs interviewed, studied countless coaches for the position once he retires, will eventually hear about well known coaches that are in consideration but the job will be beckys and the narrative will be that she was the most impressive and qualified out of all the coaches they interviewed with.
I'm still holding out hope that Manu eventually warms to the idea of being Pop's successor and his role this season is a small step forward to that hope.

I was afraid Becky wouldn’t be mentioned in the article. She eventually is, but I would have expected her name to appear earlier.
Just like it happens with our draft picks and even with trades, we will end up getting a coach we've never even heard of. Some random basketball coach who is coach for the Marines basketball team or something like that.
