Odd Adam came in before that then. Trolls are what happened. When Kori said no troll accounts in the political forum, and people (including you) kept doing it anyhow, that's what removed any liability from the comments. The edge lord growth was exponential with even more anonymity. It goes to show you that, if you really want to know what kind of a bag you're dealing with, give them one of two things, power or anonymity, and see how they act.

There's no power here and it's not my saying. There's only anonymity but then we could give our full names and basically be just as anonymous since no one knows about us. We build some form of character using the same user name for years. The anonymity allows users to troll freely without fear of damaging their forum reputation as a "solid contributor". They can be a completely different person, a total asshole.
