robert e lee was literally our enemy. its this Jesse moron who cant tell Jefferson apart from confederate traitors
As the left takes down statues of the founding fathers they put up statues of a do nothing drug addict that held a gun to the stomach of a pregnant woman.
robert e lee was literally our enemy. its this Jesse moron who cant tell Jefferson apart from confederate traitors
So if it's true and makes sense, what's the faux outrage about?
The morally superior left that is increasingly supporting killing babies in the womb till birth takes down statues of the men that planted the seeds for our country.
He also apparently hasn't read a book about Marxism-Leninism either...
Nothing moral about it, entirely factual, as you already admitted. It's the right that wants to impose moral standards, and that's exactly the people you want far away from positions of power.
I recognize recognize leftist logic and projected the future. I don't agree with detrimental actions of the left. I'm not sure what you are confused by tbh.
Jefferson is literally your enemy.
The discussion isn't centered on a particular fact about Jefferson. It's centered on the self-righteous left taking down the founding fathers. Something they would have denied was going to happen just 2 years ago.
1991: "I'm not going to spend my life being a color" - Michael Jackson
2021: "The City Council’s Black, Latino and Asian Caucus.."
Jefferson having slaves is a fact. Taking down his statue based on that is entirely based on moral judgment.
I'm confused why you act like a battered woman when you agree it's shameful our founding fathers were indeed slave owners, and historically that reflects very poorly on them.
What's the fake outrage about again? And what does 'the left' has to do with this?
You don't get to pick where the discussion is centered. You came here pretending to have been slapped by 'the left' because the racial connotations surrounding our founding fathers... and then admit that to be true (we all all know it was).
Again, what did 'the left' do about that? Are you here to defend the integrity of slave owners?
So are you in favor of a higher level law keeping potentially offensive statues and monuments in place?
Yes or no.
Bold move using a quote from a pedophile.
On brand though.
A few years ago, TX SBOE Christian fascists wanted remove Tommy J from history books because he was (the main?) proponent of the "separation clause"
It isn't. But regardless, conflating Jefferson to defend Robert Lee, a traitor and avowed enemy of the union, is the kind of stupid stretch I expect from racists.
I guess.
One based on the fact he owned slaves.
And it was a moral judgment that put the statue there in the first place.
What is your moral judgment on slavery.
Was it good or bad?
Yes, I'm here to defend the architects of this country. I thought that was obvious.
Do you defend them specifically as slave owners and rapists?
And yet the lunatics didn't stop with Lee. Which is the entire point of his tweet.
Yes, it is in arguably a moral judgment.
not at all. in fact i live in his town.
Yes, the moral judgment to remember those that greatly influenced the birth of a prosperous nation. Standard protocol for any society that isn't trying to destroy itself.
No one is going to forget Jefferson. They're just not venerating him in a city hall.
Slavery.
Good or bad?
But Mike was serious. He was whiter than Matt Bonner when he died.
I think all statues should be removed. They should also remove the faces from our money. Instead of having old dead Presidents, the money should have animals on it.
Statues have been removed, defaced, put back up, taken down again, destroyed in war throughout history for practically any area on Earth that was advanced enough to actually build or even draw the damn things in the first place. But because we are so new and prosperous, not us.
