2nd straight CBS Early+Late / Fox Single week. I hate that. I miss when Fox had America's GOTW every week, up to 2017 I believe. I believe they sacrificed that for TNF, a bad exchange. TNF typically sucks. Broncos @ Browns? Really? Who cares. Wasting Joe Buck on those boring games is like wasting your ace pitcher on a game right before the baseball playoffs when you've already locked in your playoff seed.
Fox announcers and presentation is way better from top to bottom. Only real asset CBS has is Romo, and Nantz is still QB1 on that gig which sucks because he's boring and his football knowledge is less than mediocre. At least Joe Buck and (especially) Al Michaels know their in football. And they're much more entertaining.
Also, The NFL was better when Tirico had a full time QB1 play by play job. Being stuck at QB2 for NBC is a bad gig... yes Michaels is getting older and Tirico will eventually inherit that role, but Tirico's wasting prime years of his announcing career as a backup when NBC virtually never has multiple games and never more than one on the same day.
Steve Levy is straight up trash as a primary play by play announcer and should go back to the studio. Joe Tessitore was actually DECENT, don't know why they gave him the axe after 2 solid years (yes, Witten wasn't great and Booger is terrible). Sean McDonough was straight up trash and unworthy of the NFL, though he always did a good job on college games... should have been left there. Tirico not on ESPN MNF has made that an inferior product. Nantz being the "star" on CBS's A-team ("QB1") has long made that an inferior product, though Romo has been an enormous upgrade at color over Phil Simms.
