    Name: Jon Barry
    Height: 6-5
    Weight: 210 lbs.
    Pos: SG
    Age: 33
Born: July 25, 1969, Oakland, CA
Drafted: 1992, 1st round, 21st pick by Celtics
    College: Georgia Tech

Barry is a free agent in the summer of 2003.

Even though he lacks in some areas of his game, his ability to hit the big shots is a major bonus. He's never afraid to go into the game and shoot.

He'd be a very good fifth guard from the Spurs. He can give you Steve Kerr type minutes off the bench.

"Hi, my name is Jon Barry." "I'd like to be the Spurs next Danny Ferry."

"My name actually rhymes with Danny Ferry, only it's a little shorter. . .just like my game rhymes with Danny's, only I'm a little shorter."

"But we're both balding white guys whose better days are behind us."

Tim, will you quit pimping for these losers? I want O'Neil or Brand only...the rest are scrubs. I might consider Travis Best for the 1 million- 2million range as insurance for an injury to Claxton or Parker, but only after we are set on the frontline.

Jim, we have five roster spot open after the MAX free agent. We have to fill up the roster with some of these scrubs.

Jon Barry would be an upgrade compared to Kerr or Ferry. Take what you can get, Spur fans.

I would take an old Steve Kerr over a young Jon Barry....leadership ability, better 3 point range and more importantly a team guy....you want him so bad SF....take him for your Lakers. There is no way he is a team guy.....the Barry genes won't allow it. oh and the other Barry kid's name is Drew.

After last nights clutch performance Im STILL High on Mr Barry.
I think Brent is a VERY solid player and would be a GREAT bench pickup this offseason.

His defense is REALLY good, hes a clutch shooter, and he would fit the in out mentality game much better than alot of other players.
