He would be a nice role player. His outside touch is the main reason. A 4 man who can shoot the 3 like McCarty is one way that the Spurs can get the spacing they want offensively.
Not bad for the minimum (which is what he makes roughly now). He's not someone I'd use the cap on though, especially with the way Speedy has played so far in the playoffs. I don't know that the Spurs could offer him the 24 minutes a game Boston can either.

Nah - I like Willis playing about 15 a game and Rose at about 30 after DRob's gone. With Tim playing 40 that doesn't leave too much for a guy like McCarty.
Spurs are F*ed with Willis at 15.
They've done great with Willis getting 12 this season. He played 16 and 24 the previous tow seasons.
Cant expect him to play forever. His inability to shoot the rock has hurt the Spurs.
McCarty is more of a three than a four. I don't think he's survive to long in the West if he had to play a Rose type role.
