We need an everyday 1st baseman. We need to keep Maldanado, and possibly Vasquez. We need to find a legit CF. We will need to replace Verlander if he walks. We will need to replace Brantley if he walks.

I would also like to find a way to add a couple of LHP to the bullpen.

Maldonado is on his last leg. Knows what he's doing behind the plate but det avg is awful.

I like Vazquez bat and energy. Good with him being full time catcher if they can find another back up for the season

Vasquez likely walks. He wants to play more than 50% of the time he said. CF, eh they can roll with Chaz and Meyers. Because they drafted this kid Drew Gilbert out of Tennessee who will rake through the minors and be up in a year or so.

And I’m not sure they really need to replace Verlander. They could sign Rodon. But they still have a deep rotation.

Imagine if they sign Rodon and Bellinger.

On paper, they would have to be the unanimous pick to win the 2023 WS.

    Also, that line-up

    2B Altuve
    CF Bellinger
    SS Pena
    LF Alvarez
    3B Bregman
    RF Tucker
    1B Abreu
    DH Hensley
    C Maldonado

    Bench
    Dubon
    McCormick
    Meyers
    Lee
    Matijevic

    Starting Rotation
    Rodon
    Valdez
    McCullers
    Garcia
    Javier
    Brown

    Bullpen
    Urquidy
    Montero
    Pressley
    Neris
    Abreu

His HR numbers? Not sure. I think the White Sox wanted him to sacrifice power for getting on base. In any event, he doesn’t strike out a ton and gets on base a lot. He will mash in Minute Maid Park.

    That's not bad.

But the Padres got some juice in their line-up as well.

Going to need to win a lot of shootouts. That pitching rotation is sketchy at best with Verlander on the Mets.

Padres, Mets, Phillies, Dodgers will all be up there... but that's none of the Astros' business. Why needlessly worry about the NL in February if you're an Astros fan?

It won’t. Valdez and Javier are both Ace Material. Brown is going to get his chance and he is a Verlander mini clone. Garcia is reliable. McCullers needs to stay healthy.

Also they have made a WS before without Verlander in 21.

Sketchy at best? The one weakness is Urquidy and he is average at worst.

Yeah rotation will be fine. Though to repeat I do think they’ll need to get another starter
