Can't make this up...
this is what Russia comes up with these days? These are the good news?![]()
You have been called out for that but don't know how to use it.
the last time Ukraine had a counteroffensive, they ran the board, and hater ended up talking about Putler... all in this thread as well...
Snaked is going to stay well away from predictions here.
Humiliation resulted last time at it hurt.
Hater has zero pride in accuracy. Humiliation gives him an erection.
Bakhmut is about the size of San Marcos. It took the Russian Army 80k men's lives and a year to take San Marcos with it flanked on 2 sides.
Putin better purge some more generals. MoD is most likely source of a coup.
Its cool by Ukraine that Putin stays in power by setting the Russian MoD against all these weirdo private armies that claim to do most of the work.
This is no way to win a war. Imo it gives Ukraine hope that the Russians cannot integrate all the men and weapons they have. And Bombing civilians will not lead to taking Ukraine.
Also Putin puts some of these "disgraced" generals back into service. Its a bizarre rotation game.
I think that Ukraine probably wants a "shock and awe" factor in this upcoming counter-offensive that might provoke a panic and thus a coup. They can't reclaim all their territory by just grinding out every inch militarily. They know they need a political solution but they don't like to say it.
They really need to take Crimea.
Otherwise they will always be under the gun from Russia.
They need those ports badly for the economy and for defensive purposes.
There are mountains in the East that would be hugely problematic. What Ukraine needs to do is threaten Sevastopol and Putin will fold. It's all tied into Catherine the Great and was essentially that dynasty's last stop on their Byzantine Reconquista. It figures in Putin's Manifesto. It literally is a threat on his legitimacy.
Putler letting his troops get killed.
C'est la vie
Russians just doing russian things, nothing to see here, move along.
Same russian attacks, same brilliant Ukranian defense!
The territorial defense group must have bought these helicopters in a surplus equipment shop, people say, they are not from Ukraine, good people.
Even Poles are getting in on the action.
Putin's kgb history catches up with him: he was an errand boy and "just a major"
Vladimir Putin was never the Soviet super spy he'd like us to believe. He was merely a KGB 'errand boy,' report says
But according to Der Spiegel's report, the majority of Putin's work was actually limited to "banal" administrative tasks.
Citing one of Putin's former colleagues at the KGB's Dresden office, it says his "work consisted primarily of endlessly reviewing applications for West German relatives' visits or searching for potential informants among foreign students at Dresden University."
The report says that Putin is rarely mentioned in Stasi — the name of the East German secret police — records. In those that do reference him, it is only in regards to things like his birthday or administrative tasks, none provide evidence to back up the stories mentioned previously.
Horst Jehmlich, a former Stasi officer who also worked in Dresden, told Der Spiegel that Putin was nothing more than an "errand boy."
Putin worked for the KGB, the Soviet Union's intelligence service, for nearly two decades. He moved to Dresden, in East Germany, in 1985 — a time when the country was on its last legs.
Just four years later, the Berlin Wall fell, marking the beginning of the end of the Cold War and taking a big step towards the reunification of Germany in 1990.
Officially he retired from active KGB service with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
But Oleg Kalugin, a former high-ranking KGB officer and fierce critic of Putin, told an interview with RFE/RL in 2015 that the would-be leader of Russia had lied and was "just a major."
